The bar opening at Gurkhas restaurant and the opening parties are keeping me completely wrapped up in details like cocktail napkins, cost basis, finding music performers, etc. Here are some of the highlights from last week, though.

I just have to put this out in the universe. I am facing questions daily and overwhelmed with the competing demands on my time for all the things I must do. I'm driven; I have the work ethic, passion, & good intentions. But sometimes the eagle's eye perspective gets lost. I need a good mentor.

An American friend was irate regarding Noble Peace Prize Committee's selecting Carter, Krugman, Gore, & Obama, who are American "figures who excessively care about the way foreign nations view them" (in her words). I grabbed the opportunity for the soapbox here. I responded to her immediately the following: Ok, why should a giant dog care too much about a flea bite? Or two or three? Come on, there are more things to bare those teeth at, than just the Nobel Prize Committee's obvious biases....

Everybody seems to slouch these days. It's so nice to see someone NOT slouch, for once! It shows personal integrity, respect to your body, and courtesy to the world by presenting yourself at best. Your body expresses, but also instructs you to feel what it is expressing. You could be hunching your way to depression and lower self-esteem.... Here are some ways to stop the bad posture.

1. What a polished, classy person is what I first thought. He smiled and simpered, was almost charismatic. His whole body moved with his facial expressions. I should have known he was a good actor. 2. Getting more than I expected created a cognitive dissonance. The deep psychology Misi did with me has placed her deeper in my heart than ever before. WE HATE OVERDRAFT FEES--I started a group on Facebook that said, "We Hate Overdraft Fees." I immediately got an email from someone who pointed out with the very best of intentions, that I was announcing to the world my inability to pay my bills and how I was broke.
