10. If I write “haha” in a letter, she thinks I’m not being feminine. She prefers that I write “hehe.”

9. Asks me a question, then answers it herself.

8. She always notices people’s hands, if they are pretty, if they are dirty, nice nails, etc.

7. My mom puts stuff in the refrigerator in an aesthetically pleasing fashion. (She’s an artist to the core, what can I say?)

6. I had never seen my mom run until we were trying to catch a bus one day, and I realized to my shock, she runs like me! (Or vice versa, if you must correct me.)

5. She worries endlessly that I’m cold, somehow. Every time I talk to her, one of her questions is, are you cold? Don’t catch cold drafts from below. (You know, so I don’t get UTI.)

4. Bouquets of flowers and you doing the dishes are her best friends, not diamonds.

3.  Shows off the beautiful things she bought for sale, and they are each always “the last one!”

2.  Oh, if you compliment one of the things she bought too much, she’ll give it to you. (Don’t take advantage of her!)

1. Her friends’ daughters always seem to be doing really well, becoming lawyers, doctors, or marrying them.
